Common issues
Double identities and "Origin Identity"
- You will have a double identity during your studies.
- One identity on the CTU information system
- One identity on the UA information system
- This is necessary because you will have to complete two Study Plans according to two different accreditations.
- Of course, there is a huge intersect (due to double degree construction).
- Although the intersection is huge, the set subtraction is not empty…
- It means you have to do a bit more (get more credits) to get both masters.
- The difference is described in sections according to your "Origin Identity".
- Origin Identity refers to the university to which you were primarily enrolled.

Known differencies (which you may want to consider)
Here is a list of organisational differences to minimise confusion.
- Course registration
- is on a semester basis at CTU (you register separately for winter and summer semester courses)
- is on an annual basis at UA (i.e. you register for courses for both winter and summer semesters)
- Course Pass and Minimum Credit Limit
- CTU
- Usually there is an assessment which is a mandatory requirement to pass the exam.
- The assessment is usually based on the work done during the semester and usually (exceptions exist) there is no change to retake it (in a course registration).
- You have up to 3 attempts to pass the exam in one course registration (in the same exam period).
- Please pay attention to the rules for obtaining the assessment, they usually differ from course to course and they must be described on the base course pages, usually on courses.fit.cvut.cz.
- Usually there is an assessment which is a mandatory requirement to pass the exam.
- You can register for the course again (the second time) if you don’t pass the first time.
- If you do not pass the (compulsory) course twice, it means that you have failed the study.
- There is a minimum credit limit for the academic year (winter+summer semester) - 40 credits.
- If you do not achieve this (except in the last semester when you only have to complete your study plan), it means that you have failed the programme.**
