SFE Topics

The examination during the final state exams consists of one question selected from common topics and one from specialization topics. The question begins with a copy of the topic outlined in the format specified in the table. The question may be further specified at the discretion of the committee. For example: Provide at least one non-trivial example…​, Outline the idea of proof of the theorem…​, Describe the application of this methodology in software development, etc.

For broader topics, the committee may narrow down the question to match the expected 20 minutes for a written response and to assess the student’s knowledge during the oral examination before the committee in the given topic area. For example: Focus on…​, Limit yourself to…​

The Course column in the tables refers to the course in which the respective topic was discussed. The topic may have also appeared in other courses.
