SFE Topics
The examination during the final state exams consists of one question selected from common topics and one from specialization topics. The question begins with a copy of the topic outlined in the format specified in the table. The question may be further specified at the discretion of the committee. For example: Provide at least one non-trivial example…, Outline the idea of proof of the theorem…, Describe the application of this methodology in software development, etc.
For broader topics, the committee may narrow down the question to match the expected 20 minutes for a written response and to assess the student’s knowledge during the oral examination before the committee in the given topic area. For example: Focus on…, Limit yourself to…
The Course column in the tables refers to the course in which the respective topic was discussed. The topic may have also appeared in other courses.
